Loading and unloading
Flexible and customised loading and unloading for all types of goods from vessels, trucks and trains.
From containers to bulk - complete service for loading and unloading
The core of our business at Mälarhamnar is about handling cargo safely, quickly and efficiently. We strive to minimise the time ships spend at the quayside and ensure that every cargo is handled with the utmost care and attention.
With our modern machinery and experienced staff, we are well prepared to meet all possible needs. When it comes to container traffic, we use our powerful and modern Gottwald cranes. Their precision and high lifting capacity allow us to guarantee fast and reliable transhipment between ship, quay and onward transport. But our flexibility extends far beyond just containers. For bulk and loose cargo such as grain, our cranes are equipped with efficient grab buckets. These enable large-scale loading and unloading with high speed and minimal spillage. When the load requires a firmer grip, such as when handling scrap, recycled material or round wood, we use specialised grabs. This equipment ensures safe and stable lifting of even the most complex and irregular materials. Whatever the type of load, our success is the result of combining the right equipment with competent staff.
At Mälarhamnar, we have both the technology and the know-how to be a complete and customisable partner for all your cargo handling needs.
