Mälarhamnar has now responded to the government regarding the value of infrastructure investments affecting business in the Mälaren region.
In the Swedish Transport Administration's proposal for a national transport infrastructure plan, we still see that maritime-related infrastructure is not prioritised to the same extent as roads and railways in Sweden.
However, it is encouraging that the proposal includes a fully funded new Hjulsta Bridge, the final piece of the puzzle to complete the Mälaren Project and crucial to ensuring that the previous investments of over SEK 4 billion can have their full effect.
