During 2025, intensive strategic work has been going on behind the scenes at Mälarhamnar. Together, all employees, with input from both customers and the Board of Directors, have identified a new direction and a new vision to which we all aspire.
- Our vision is our compass. We have worked in workshops where all employees in Mälarhamnar have been involved in the work so that it really feels genuine and means something to those of us who work in our ports," says Frida Bergman, project manager for vision 2035.
With the launch of our new website in September, we are now also starting to show where we are going externally.
The vision for 2035 is "The future of logistics starts in Lake Mälaren".
The mission develops it:
We are driving the transition to sustainable transport through safe, robust and flexible solutions where the sea will play a key role in future logistics flows.
Our strength lies in the people behind it - with commitment, knowledge and community, we create a safe workplace where individuals grow and develop in line with our customers' needs.
- I am extremely proud that the vision work is an internal project, where all employees have had their say on where we are heading," says Andreas Andersson, CEO of Mälarhamnar.
It all starts with the people who work in the ports of Mälaren, and we know that as a seaport we have great potential to influence, contribute and implement what is required to make the shift of goods from road to sea. Therefore, we must start inland, as close to the start and end of the goods to be transported as possible, and utilise the capacity that Mälarhamnar has to strengthen our Swedish transport chain through safe, robust and flexible solutions.
